I worry,
about running out of time, not being able to prove my worth.
I desire a heart that is full and supported,
Without having to cringe for control.
So,
the tides might have to be left alone,
I was born a mermaid— The shifts made me malleable to the fortunes of life.
Though I’m old enough now to figure out what my soul truly fuels on,
I mistake prediction for analysis,
not always,
but enough times to realize.
Until I reunite.
